Many clients approach me with the same problem: They need an idea of project costs so they could arrange financing or know if they can afford their project. However, builders and other architects they spoke to were unwilling, or unable, to give a range of construction costs. Builders needed drawings from an architect. Other architects and design/build firms wanted a signed agreement for a full package of design services and large down payments.
This is why I created the Construction Cost Compass. With this service, you will get input from an experienced residential architect and builder to give you a range of construction costs. Also, there is no requirement to commit to long term agreements and larger fees just to find out the feasibility of your ideas.
